Bharti Airtel board approves Rs 25,000 crore worth rights issue

NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel board Friday approved the issuance of equity shares through the rights issue for Rs 25,000 crore, the Gurgaon-based telco informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE).

This is further to our intimations dated February 28, 2019, and April 10, 2019, informing about the approval of issue of equity shares of the company by way of a rights issue to the eligible shareholders of the company for an amount aggregating up to Rs 250,000 million, it said in a statement to the two exchanges.

The issue will open on May 3, 2019.
