Can’t put a time frame for Wipro transformation: CEO Abidali Neemuchwala

WiproNSE 1.98 % may have reported disappointing results, but CEO Abidali Neemuchwala told ET in an interview that the company is headed in the right direction. Excerpts:

How long will you lag in growth behind peers?
We, as well as our customers, are undergoing transformation. We see a good momentum in new areas such as digital, cloud – all of those areas. We see an impact on the businesses we are divesting or businesses are not investing in the legacy areas. And, till we are at a point where the digital and new business crosses into the majority, the impact of legacy going down is higher in our case.
