Mobile app launched

The Elections department has launched an IT application to help voters with details of all polling stations in 25 Assembly constituencies in Puducherry district, booth-level officers and police officials and counting results. Called DEO Puducherry, the new app was launched by Senior Superintendent of Police (Law and Order) Apoorva Gupta. District Election Officer and Collector T. Arun was present the event at Gandhi Thidal here on Sunday.

According to S. Sezhian Babu, Nodal Officer of Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme, the Election department has scheduled various awareness activities to educate voters on the importance of voting and participation in elections for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections to Puducherry.
