Xiaomi Redmi Go smartphone to launch in India on March 19, likely to be priced below Rs 10,000

NEW DELHI: Xiaomi is all set to launch its first Android Go smartphone in India. The company has started sending out invites for the launch of its Redmi Go smartphone in India. Xiaomi will launch the smartphone on 19 March at an event in Delhi. The company has also tweeted about the launch. The tweet reads, “Welcome to a new world. A world of upgrade, connectivity & progress. Welcome to #AapkiNayiDuniya.”
Launched last year in Philippines and European market, the Xiaomi Redmi Go is the entry level smartphone of the company. In Europe the smartphone is selling at 80 Euros which translates into Rs 6,513. This means that the company might price the smartphone around Rs 6,000 in India as well.
