Samsung aims to regain top slot in India’s smartphone market

New Delhi: Samsung Electronics expects to regain the No. 1 position in India’s smartphone market, counting on the innovation in its latest range of devices and a change in its sales strategy. “We may have dropped to second place in terms of number of devices shipped, but we are still dominant when it comes to revenues,” DJ Koh, president of IT & mobile business at Samsung, said at an event to launch the flagship Galaxy S10 series in India on Wednesday.

“We do want to get back to the No. 1 spot in terms of volumes and we’ll do that by embracing a broad range of customer needs. We’re particularly counting on the M series for that.”
