Huawei says India can become second largest 5G market in next 10 years

Barcelona: Chinese telecom gear maker Huawei said that India has the potential to become the largest 5G market after China for the whole industry in the coming 10 years.

“I personally believe India market, the 5G market for India will be huge, and will be second to China,” James Wu, president, Southern -East Asia region at Huawei Technologies said.

The executive said that Hong Kong will be the first market to deploy 5G technology in the South-East Asia region. “Thailand, India and Vietnam will, follow Hong Kong and launch 5G,” he added.
