Google Maps introduces Follow button to iOS app to keep users up to date on favourite places

Google has rolled out ‘Follow’ button to its Google Maps app on iOS operating system. It will allow iPhone users to stay up to date on their favourite places using the app. The announcement was made via a blogpost yesterday.
Notably, the feature was first introduced on Android in October last year. Using this, users of Google Maps can search for newly opened restaurants and keep track of upcoming sale in their favourite stores.
The Google blogpost written by Andrew Cooper, Product Manager, Google Maps said “Starting this week, you can stay up to date on your favourite places right from the Google Maps app on iOS. Simply search for a place—whether it’s a new restaurant that just opened up in your neighbourhood or that must-try bakery across town – and tap the Follow button.
