Ericsson hopes RCom complies with top court order, pays dues

DELHI: Swedish telecom gear maker Ericsson on Wednesday said that it hopes the Supreme Court verdict asking Reliance Communication’s (RCom) chairman Anil Ambani to pay Rs 453 crore worth of dues to the former, would be obeyed by the telco.

“It is a welcoming verdict. We are hoping it to be complied by RCom,” Nitin Bansal, head of Ericsson India and head of Network Solutions, South East Asia, Oceania, and India at Ericsson said.

Wednesday, the Supreme Court held Reliance Group chairman and two of its directors guilty of contempt for willfully not paying dues to Ericsson.
