Telecom department removes two officials for poor show in uncovered villages

NEW DELHI: The government has removed two senior officials– Sudhir Bhandari and Lalit Gangal– responsible for prestigious programs to connect the uncovered villages in the country’s remote regions.

The approval of competent authority is hereby conveyed for the transfer of officers of the Indian Telecommunications Service (ITS) group A with immediate effect, Ministry of Communications, in a notification Monday said.
