5G to ensure better service quality: Chauhan

New Delhi: After conducting the 5G auctions in record time with complete transparency, India is seeing the fastest 5G rollout happening in record time. Already, over 6000 districts and 1000 cities have been covered with 5G, while more than six lakh villages have 4G connectivity and two lakh villages have optical fibre, said Minister of State for Communications, Devusinh Chauhan.

“The launch of 5G services in October 2022 and the setting up of the area office of the International Telecommunication Union in March 2023 are significant milestones in India’s goal to connect the unconnected,” he added.
