5G to deliver up to $3.3 trillion of economic and social value in Latin America by 2035
NEW DELHI: The next-gen 5G technology could contribute upto $3.3 trillion of value by 2035, and additionally, will contribute about $9 trillion towards social value, said a report by Finnish telecoms gear maker Nokia and analyst firm Omdia on Friday.
At the same time, 5G can be expected to roll out in Latin America earlier than planned, however, the region lags behind in productivity and economic growth, which can be improved by digital transformation, said the report.
The report, while highlighting the significance of 5G for regions, countries, and industries said Brazil will witness the largest gain of $1.216 trillion of 5G economic impact and an increase in productivity of $3,084 trillion.
