5G Security

Officials from over 30 countries have proposed a set of principles to ensure the safety of next generation mobile networks amid concerns over the use of telecom gears made by China’s Huawei.

Highlighting concerns about equipment supplied by vendors that might be subject to state influence, the non-binding proposals were published on May 3, 2019 at the end of a two-day meeting in Prague where they were discussing security of new 5G networks.
