5G can potentially bring growth to Indian economy, jobs market: Ericsson’s Umang Jindal

NEW DELHI: Fifth-generation or 5G technology has the potential to bring growth in India’s economy and the jobs market, according to Swedish telecom gear maker Ericsson.

“Economic growth and jobs are the areas where I see a lot of potential that 5G can bring because we talk about all these new applications which are delivered by API, which are driven by AI and other things,” said Umang Jindal, Head of Networks & Performance, Southeast Asia, Oceania and India, Ericsson in a fireside chat with Peter Jarich, Head of GSMA Intelligence, at the seventh edition of ETTelecom 5G|6G Congress 2024 on Thursday.
