5G auction in 39th round on Day 7, bidding to continue till UP-East excess demand settles: Analysts
Bidding in the 39th round on Day 7 of India’s first 5G spectrum auction is underway Monday morning, with the government already having received committed bids worth to Rs 1,50,130 crore at the end of Day 6.
Action on Day 6, Sunday, had been focused on the key Uttar Pradesh (East) market, where the competition had heated up again for the 1800 MHz band. The per unit price of 1800 MHz spectrum in UP-East circle has already jumped to Rs 160.57 crore — almost 76.5% higher than its Rs 91 crore per MHz base price. The current auction price for 1800 MHz in the circle is also well above the Rs 153-crore per MHz base price of the March 2021 sale.
