5-day e-commerce training held for handicraft artisans

Directorate of Handicrafts and MSME Institute, Srinagar organised a five-day training programme for handicraft artisans to expose them for adopting e-commerce as a tool for marketing their products.

The objective of the programme was to make the artisans aware about the different facets of e-marketing /e-commerce. The experienced resource persons from the academics and field shared their inputs on different topics relating to adoption of e-commerce with the artisans.

As many as 25 artisans and four assistant handicraft training officers of the department were given a technical and a practical know how about the different facets of marketing via e-commerce mode. The artisans appreciated the role played by the organising departments and demanded that such events should be a continuous feature throughout the year.
