436 mobile network operators now offering FWA using LTE or 5G: GSA Forum
NEW DELHI: With a gain in adoption globally, 3GPP-based fixed-wireless access (FWA) has now become a mainstream service for telcos with over 436 mobile network operators (MNOs) in 171 countries and territories now offering FWA using LTE or 5G, said Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) 4G-5G FWA Forum on Tuesday.
At the same time, 425 operators in 169 countries and territories are now selling FWA services based on LTE while 63 operators are marketing residential or business 5G FWA broadband services, up from 44 in six months, the forum said.
