40% smartphone users upgrade their devices within a year: Study

NEW DELHI: As many as 40% smartphone users upgrade their devices within a year, a survey on smartphone buyer preferences conducted by gadget discovery site 91mobiles.com stated on Thursday.

According to the survey, 78% of the respondents are planning to buy a new smartphone in 2019 and smartphone brands Xiaomi and Samsung happen to be the most popular brands with 25% and 19% votes respectively.

New brand Realme’s share – 5% –is higher than established players like ASUS and Nokia with 4% and 3% share respectively.
