330 companies are investing in private LTE, 5G networks worldwide: GSA

NEW DELHI: At least 330 companies have been or are currently investing in mobile networks based in LTE or 5G, in the form of trials, pilot deployments, commercial network launches and investment in licences that would enable deployment of private LTE or 5G networks, as per a report by industry body Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA).

At the same time, 150 companies have deployed private LTE and 5G networks and spectrum.

As per the data collated by GSA, it predicts LTE to be used in 81% of the private network deployments, with 5G currently being deployed (or planned for deployment) in over a quarter of all networks.
