31 million smartphone users in India to upgrade to 5G by end of 2023: Ericsson Consumer Lab Global Survey
Ericsson has released a report titled “5G value: Turning performance into loyalty”. The report, conducted by Ericsson Consumer Lab, explores the factors that drive 5G network satisfaction and user retention. The study indicates that based on their tech attitudes and affordability of users in India. According to the report approximately 31 million users are likely to upgrade to 5G phones by 2023. This presents a significant opportunity for further 5G adoption in the country.
5G users in India are highly engaged with various mobile applications such as HD video streaming, video calling, mobile gaming, and augmented reality. They spend an average of two additional hours per week using these services compared to users in other early adopter 5G markets like the US, United Kingdom, South Korea, China, and others.
