3 of mobile snatching gang in custody

Kolkata: Sonarpur police under Baruipur Police district in South 24 Parganas apprehended three youths suspected to be part of a largescale snatching gang operating at Howrah station responsible for a string of thefts at the station, targeting passengers’ expensive mobile phones and wallets. The trio was taken into custody after being spotted during a night patrol around 4.30am.

The youths were clad in identical shoes and trousers and behaved suspiciously. Attempting to flee when approached by officers, they were quickly apprehended. The suspects, aged between 20 to 24 years, reside in Jeevantala and Ghutiari Sharif.
