3 forge sign, dupe bizman of Rs 1.6cr, held

MUMBAI: The south cyber cell of the city police have arrested three men for allegedly forging the signature of an NRI businessman via the centralised positive pay system (CPPS) and siphoning off Rs 1.63 crore.

The arrested accused have been identified as Tamil Selvan (42), Pramod Singh (45) and Krushna Dalai (45). The cops are looking for two or three of their accomplices as well.

Complainant Prasanna Kumar Jha, chief manager of Bank of Baroda, said some unknown persons forged signatures of businessman Javed Aslam and got Rs 1.63 crore transferred online.
