28% GST on online games: Ordinance planned

The state government is planning to promulgate an ordinance to levy 28 per cent GST on online games, horse racing and casinos.

On Thursday, the Cabinet deferred approving the ordinance as it had not been vetted by the department of Parliamentary Affairs and Legislation. Recently, the GST Council decided to tax at 28 per cent bets placed on online games, horse racing and casinos.
