2 cybercriminals arrested from WB

The Baleswar Cyber police arrested two fraudsters from Kolkata and forwarded them to court for siphoning off Rs 20 lakh from a person of the district.

Police nabbed the duo after the victim Sunil Kumar Parmanik, a resident of Jaydevkasaba village under the Chandipur police station, lodged a complaint that Rs 20 lakh was cleaned off from his bank account by unknown miscreants.

He stated in his FIR that responding to a call from an unknown person he had shared his bank details through WhatsApp to the caller who wanted to install a mobile tower of a company on a vacant land and approached him.
