15 companies in fray to buy gaming firm Smaash

Nazara Technologies, Malpani Group, Manikchand Group and Tech Connect Services are among 15 companies in the fray for acquiring Smaaash Entertainment, a sport-centric digital entertainment company undergoing insolvency proceedings, said two people aware of the development.

Nazara Technologies, which is backed by late billionaire Rakesh Jhunjhunwala’s Rare Enterprises, and the Malpani Group that recently acquired Manmohan Shetty-owned theme park operator Adlabs Entertainment NSE 4.99 %, are the two prominent applicants.
