Unlike Samsung and Huawei this electronics giant is not making a foldable phone, here’s why

Samsung and Huawei last year announced their intentions to launch their first ever ‘foldable’ smartphones in 2019. Samsung even showcased its foldable screen last year and is said to debut the handset on February 20 at its ‘Unpacked’ event. Huawei is also rumoured to unveil its foldable smartphone during MWC. However, one of the major tech firms that could’ve been the next one to bring a foldable handset to masses was LG and it is not keen to take any step in this direction for now.
The South Korean tech firm, which is scheduled to launch its LG G8 ThinQ during MWC 2019 conference, has confirmed that it won’t be launching a foldable smartphone to The Korea Times. The confirmation came back in January during the CES 2019 conference.
