Share market update: Telecom shares trade higher; Tejas Networks climbs 7%

NEW DELHI: Telecom shares were trading with gains in Tuesday’s afternoon session.

Shares of Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) (up 7.90 per cent) , Tejas Networks (up 7.40 per cent) , Sterlite Technologies (up 4.49 per cent) and Bharti Airtel (up 2.51 per cent) were the top performers in the telecom pack.

Vindhya Telelinks (up 1.71 per cent) , Tata Communications (up 1.64 per cent) , Aksh Optifibre (up 1.35 per cent) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (up 1.26 per cent) too were trading in the green.
