To promote the growth of broadcasting sector, the regulator has come out with the recommendations on ease of doing business. Through the recommendation Trai has proposed to remove the procedural bottleneck for making business proposition more attractive. In the recommendation Trai has suggested that broadcasting services should be given clearance within 60 days. It has also suggested that all processes involved in obtaining permissions for broadcasting services should be completed within 6 months from the date of application.
