All Airtel stores to turn next-gen digital hub

Kolkata: Cellular services giant Bharti Airtel which has been bleeding profusely in the ongoing price war with the other competitors is stressing on direct face-to-face ‘retail touch’ with its customers to regain its business. The company is planning to turn all of 2,000 Airtel stores into next-generation retail experience stores in the next five years.
Pan-India, Bharti Airtel currently has 500 company-owned, company-operated (COCO) stores, out of which 100 outlets are in the next-gen digital format. Apart from this, the brand has 1,500 franchise stores across the country.
