Xiaomi India President says not firing any employee this year; focusing on profitability

NEW DELHI: Xiaomi India President Muralikrishnan B said that the company is not handing out pink slips to employees in India this year and has “denied” firing people. He added that the company is focused on profitability this year.

“You will, in the interest of efficiency in the interest of clarity of roles, restructure your organisation whenever required to suit the needs of the strategy. And we’ve done that, and we continue doing that. To all speculations on us firing people, that is something that I will flatly deny,” Muralikrishnan said.
