Vodafone tests genAI, leveraging Microsoft tech for code writing: Report

NEW DELHI: Vodafone is conducting multiple proofs-of-concept (PoCs) of generative AI (GenAI) for a diverse range of use cases, US-based telecom publication Light Reading reported Friday, citing a presentation given by the British mobile and broadband operator to analysts.

The report said that the technology is driving Vodafone’s chatbots used to communicate with customers, and even to write software codes. As many as 10 PoCs involve chatbots – including Vodafone’s customer-facing chatbot ‘TOBi’; ASKHR, its chatbot for employees; and systems deployed for supply-chain management and other activities.
