Vodafone Idea, Google partner to provide food and night shelter information to 2G users

NEW DELHI: Telecom operator Vodafone-Idea has partnered with Google to provide information about food and night shelters in the wake of mass labor migration and the nationwide lockdown that has been put in place amid the Covid-19 or coronavirus pandemic.

Further, the operator has introduced a phone line for its 2G customers and feature phone customers with Google Assistant. The feature has been made live and provides information about food and night shelters across India.

The internet giant Google officially announced the development on the microblogging site Twitter.
