Vimeo introduces ChatGPT-powered script writer, and other AI tools for video editing

Vimeo has introduced its AI-powered tools that aim to simplify the video editing process for creators. The platform says these three tools are meant for people who “lack the skills, time, or resources” to create and edit videos effectively.

The three new AI tools include a text-based video editor that can simplify editing. With just one click, it automatically removes long pauses and filler words like “um” and “ah.” Additionally, users can search for specific terms in the transcript that the tool generates and delete any unwanted parts of the video. Users who want to create short clips for social media can search for a specific word, highlight it, and select “keep only this” for the desired clip.
