Vedanta says awaiting India govt nod for semiconductor plant in Gujarat

Oil-to-metals conglomerate Vedanta is awaiting the Indian government’s nod for incentives under a modified semiconductor production plan to begin construction of a plant in Gujarat, Reuters reported, citing a top executive of the company. Vedanta said it has roped in technology and equity partners for the semiconductor venture, a top official of the company said.
