Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.48%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a positive note on Thursday.

Shares of L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 3.27 per cent), Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 2.76 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.54 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(up 0.68 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.65 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
