Sri Lanka Telecom partners Cisco to launch SD-WAN services for enterprises

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) PLC Friday launched SD-WAN services for its enterprise and government customers in partnership with Cisco and Millenium I.T.E.S.P to accelerate digitization across the country.

SLT said it will offer Cisco’s full SD-WAN capabilities, including dynamic routing, cloud connectivity, and insights into applications and performance to its enterprise customers.

In the partnership, Cisco provided its intent-based networking solutions, SLT provided its connectivity solutions, while MillenniumIT ESP worked as the systems integrator.

SLT said it will further oversee the deployment and operation of enterprise WAN Services along with underlay connectivity options with MPLS and Internet connectivity.

Additionally, SLT SD-WAN natively integrates Cisco’s security stack to provide threat protection. In addition, it also provides many last-mile options and island-wide OPMC and SLA to ensure maximum customer priorities.

“SD-WAN capable routers include Cisco IOS SD XE that run on the ISR series routers. Cisco’s networking solutions, along with SLT’s connectivity options, make SLT SD-WAN the most comprehensive solutions.. SLT also plans to expand the SD-WAN to global customers in near future,” said Kiththi Perera, Chief Executive Officer, SLT.
