Spotify Car Thing will compete with Echo Auto

Spotify is testing waters in music hardware, starting with something it calls as the ‘Car Thing’.

The live streaming music service announced on its blog that Car Thing is part of its test program to understand people’s listening habits and preferences. The hardware is a voice-controlled music and podcast device.
