Share market update: Telecom shares up; RCom jumps nearly 5%

NEW DELHI: Telecom shares were trading with gains in Friday’s afternoon session.

Shares of Reliance Communications (up 4.89 per cent), Bharti Airtel (up 3.60 per cent), Tejas Networks (up 1.71 per cent) and Tata Communications (up 1.40 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Vindhya Telelinks (up 1.37 per cent), GTPL Hathway (up 0.90 per cent), Sterlite Technologies (up 0.76 per cent) and GTL (up 0.50 per cent) too were trading with gains.
