Rs 15L cyber fraud: 5 more of Jamtara gang held

The Rourkela Cyber police have arrested five more accused involved in duping a former railway employee of Rs`15 lakh in 2021.

The arrested fraudsters were identified as Kamaluddin Ansari, Kutbul Ansari, Asarful Ansari, Md Samim Ansari and Jamil Ansari. All are residents of Jamtara district in Jharkhand.

Earlier, police had arrested Md Arif Ansari, Md Rajaul and Jamshed Ansari.

With the five arrests, the number of arrests in connection with the cases has risen to eight. Police said the arrests were made following investigations after a case was filed in this regard by the victim.
