ITI contributes Rs 64 lakhs to PM-CARES fund for fight against Coronavirus
NEW DELHI: State-run ITI Monday said it has contributed Rs 64 lakhs towards the PM-CARES fund to support the Centre’s initiatives against the COVID-19 or coronavirus pandemic.
The company said it will further contribute Rs 45 as a one-day salary contribution from all employees of ITI.
Additionally, ITI said it has rolled out various CSR initiatives to support the country’s fight against COVID-19 and has adopted 1000 families in its neighborhood at Ambedkar Nagar colony, Bengaluru and is in the process of distributing 3000 ration kits with essential commodities.
ITI said that it would distribute ration kits within 10-12 days.
