Indian Premier League is gaining popularity among women, too

NEW DELHI | MUMBAI: More women are watching the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches this season than ever before, many in fact, shunning their daily dose of soaps on the general entertainment channels.

According to the viewership data sourced from BARC India subscribers, the average viewership number of women watching IPL increased almost 18% in the first three weeks to 10.3 million impressions, as against the same period last year. In comparison, male viewership has grown 15% to 13.9 million this year.
