India has $100-billion export potential in PCBA: ICEA-EY study

Kolkata: India has potential of more than $100-billion export opportunity in printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), according to a latest report by India Cellular & Electronics Association (ICEA) and EY. This will drastically reduce India’s dependency on China which is the world’s largest exporter of PCBAs.

The global electronics industry is recognized as one of the largest and fastest-growing industries in the world. While the growth is being driven by smartphones, laptops, tablets and wearable electronics, among others, the manufacturing of these products provides an unprecedented opportunity to capture global markets with size and scale.
