IBM to launch Meta’s Llama 2 on watsonx AI platform for businesses

IBM has said that it will host Facebook parent Meta’s artificial intelligence (AI) language program Llama 2 on its own enterprise AI platform, watsonx. It said the company plans to host Meta’s Llama 2-chat 70 billion parameter model in the watsonx.ai studio.

IBM also said that the release of Meta’s open source AI model will be followed by additional software such as AI tuning studios, fact sheets and other generative AI models.

“The future availability of Llama 2 in watsonx.ai will be another milestone on IBM’s generative AI roadmap and is expected to be followed by the coming releases of its AI Tuning Studio, additional AI models in watsonx.ai, and FactSheets in watsonx.governance,” the company said.
