Haryana Police ramps up Cybersecurity: Helpline staff doubled to tackle fraud

Amid rising cyber crime cases in the state, Haryana Director General of Police Shatrujeet Kapur on Monday said that the Union Home Ministry’s helpline-1930 will now operate at twice the speed than before. Kapur said that the number of staff deployed on the cyber helpline number has been doubled to expedite the resolution of complaints received and enhance cybercrime prevention.

Kapur said that in recent times, along with technology, the number of cyber crimes has also increased and Cyber criminals are using new methods to cheat people online and make them victims of fraud. In such a situation, it is important that complaints related to cybercrime be resolved promptly.
