DISH selects Altiostar as O-RAN solution provider

NEW DELHI: Virtual radio access networks (vRAN) solutions provider Altiostar said it has entered into a multi-year partnership with DISH to deliver its cloud-native O-RAN solution for DISH’s nationwide 5G rollout.

The Altiostar solution will provide openness, modularity, agility, and scalability to DISH, enabling faster deployment of new 5G services for consumers and businesses, said Altiostar.

Altiostar’s cloud-native microservice-based O-RAN solution will allow DISH to dynamically scale its network on the basis of the type of applications and services being deployed. Further, as the new mobile carrier player, DISH will be able to build a differentiated 5G network using a software-defined open platform.
