Cyber fraudsters target jobless youths, 4 held in Delhi
NEW DELHI: With the arrest of four people, the north Delhi police claimed to have busted a syndicate of cyber fraudsters who were targeting unemployed youths on the pretext of providing work from home opportunities in an e-commerce company. The gang was running a fake call centre in Ashok Vihar area in the guise of clothing and metal firms.
The arrested men have been identified as Amit Kedia, Sachin Gupta, Pradeep Kumar and Rohit Jain. The accused are in their thirties and live in northwest Delhi. The kingpin of the gang, who identifies himself as one Gulati, has been found to be in Dubai and efforts are on to nab him, police said.
According to DCP (north) Sagar Singh Kalsi, the accused were arrested by a team comprising inspector Pawan Tomar and others.
