Apple slashes prices of iPhone XR, older iPhone models ahead of festive season

Apple has reduced the prices of older iPhone models in India following the launch of the new iPhone 11 series. Cupertino-based tech giant launched three new iPhone models— Apple iPhone 11, Apple iPhone 11 Pro, Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max on September 10. The new Apple iPhone 11 will be available in India from September 27 in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB models, starting at ₹64,900. Apple iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will be priced at ₹99,900 and ₹109,900, respectively.

Apple iPhone XR, iPhone XS and Apple Watch Series 3 received a huge price cut along with the previous iPhone models in India ahead of the festive season.

Apple registered double-digit growth in India in the second quarter this year, thanks to iPhone XR. Apple iPhone XR tops the chart of premium smartphone segment in India in the second quarter this year, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC).
