Android users, this popular music app is ‘stealing’ information from your phones
Here’s warning for Android users, after the popular app CamScanner was found infected with malware code another Android app has been caught stealing users’ information. Researchers at SonicWall Capture Labs have raised an alert on RB music streaming app as it has been found containing spyware related components.
As per the researchers, the app was reusing software code from a relatively older malware program called Ahmyth RAT to steal sensitive data from the device. A Remote Access Trojan (RAT) is a malware code that enters a device through diversion applications, freeware or email connections. Once the user runs the executable records, the trojan code introduces itself in the framework memory and hacks the application. The said Ahmyth RAT allowed the application to steal sensitive information from the infected device.
