WhatsApp working on a passkey feature for account verification

WhatsApp keeps developing new features to improve user experience as well as enhance user privacy and safety. The Meta-owned popular instant messaging platform is now working on a passkey feature that will be used for account verification.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, this feature is expected to be available for users in a future update. In the latest update available to Android beta users (available on the Google Play Store) testers have discovered that WhatsApp is working on passkey support for the messaging app. The report notes that the passkey feature is currently under development.
