Australia’s Telstra deploys Ericsson Cloud RAN in commercial 5G network

NEW DELHI: Australian telecom operator has deployed Swedish telecom gear maker Ericsson’s Cloud RAN solution in its commercial 5G network at several sites.

“The rollout of Ericsson’s Cloud RAN technology for Telstra’s commercial 5G network is the first deployment in Australia and marks a major milestone in Telstra’s ability to deliver next generation 5G services to customers around the country,” Ericsson said in a statement.
