Reliance Jio tie-up helps Netflix gain grounds in India

Netflix India’s partnership with Reliance Jio is expected to have helped the video streaming giant to gain grounds in India and in Asia.

As per a report by research firm Media Partners Asia (via ANI), Netflix is expected to end the year with 4.6 million paid subscribers in India by the end of 2020. The company’s average revenue per user (ARPU) is expected to stand a little higher at around $5 ( ₹372 approximately) per month.

The OTT service provider is expected to end the year with $2.4 billion of revenue from the Asia-Pacific region. This would be approximately 10% of the company’s total revenue globally, the research firm said.
